Happy Holiday to all of you. I haven’t posted in a few days due to the busy schedule that was thrust upon us unknowingly. We arrived at Yellow Jacket RV Resort just outside of Old Town, Florida. Old Town isn’t a town at all. It’s just an intersection with a grocery store, bank, hairdresser that also sells shrimp, a video store that also doubles as a car wash. I think you’re getting the picture. Head south from the intersection 10 miles and you come to the dirt road leading to the campground. We are adjacent to the Lower Suwanee National Wildlife Preserve and have secured a site on the Suwanee River.
Here’s a photo that I see each morning looking out on the sun coming up on the river.
I’ll catch you up on the past few days tomorrow. Right now I have to get out for my morning bicycle ride and then it’s back to the bus to help Robin with the candied sweet potatos. Turkeys are being fryed and roasted during the day. Any camper who wants to bring a covered dish will be celebrating this festive day at the outdoor pavilion. Enjoy your family, football, food and the slideshow:
Larry, makes me long for the very few days I get to spend at Greene Cove with Chris and Melissa…..I do think I am a “Water Gypsy” from a different lifetime…..it calms and sooths my spirit and my soul……don’t need to be in it, just to be near it, anticipating more of your eye candy……Happy THanksgiving ot you and Robin!
