Still Learning

We’ve spent a lot of time the past couple of days just cruising around. In fact, I find that to  be    a major part of my entertainment.  Robin thinks I have bugs in my pants, always wanting to  run around as she says.  But the fact is that I find it much like shopping. I get to run around in  a vehicle, sit on my ass, and look at “stuff”. Isn’t that almost like shopping. Here we are  having a ham salad sandwich on Orange Lake outside of Ocala. Imagine coming a little over  2000 miles from Pittsburgh to have a ham salad sandwich down here.

We’ve met a great couple from upstate New York yesterday and spent some quality time with them last night, commiserating, trading stories and drinking way too much wine. This evening Gerty and Charley Zangi and the two of us all went out to dinner at Olive Garden.  I would love to share a photo of the two of them with you. Perhaps in the future but Charley would not allow himself to be photographed. He said something about him not wanting the government to see his photo on the web.  I’m sure it had to do with some sort of income tax thing so I’ll leave it at that. They’re great people and have one of the most opulent coaches I’ve ever been in.

I learned something about myself today.  For the past couple of years I have been forgetting where things are located in the house, as well as the RV. I just attributed the forgetfulness to age but still didn’t like it so I fight it.  I consume fish oil, grapeseed extract, and anything I can get into my body to help the memory.  Lo and behold I find that its not my mind, but the fact that Robin keeps moving things on me. And I’ve learned this from other members of the male community in ‘guy conversation’. These gentleman are my seniors and have been married more years than I. brutusrobin They politely informed me that it is the woman’s job to move things on her husband.  Apparently they all do it but it doesn’t start until well into the marriage.  And I just thought it was my mind growing older. So now instead of looking for something I can’t find anymore, I’ll just ask Robin where she put it.  I’m getting this training thing down pat after all these years.

Great post! Keep them coming, you are really developing, I enjoy the commiserating quote, I have done that in the past and found it extremely beneficial to both myself and my peers.

It’s a woman/wife thing, you lose it, we find it, put it where we know it should be………all’s right with the world.
