We were invited to the home of Shawn and Jim, along with some other friends for a wonderful cookout and socializing Saturday. In fact we were taxied by Jay and Chris as we didn’t know the directions. The meal was glorious as Jim grilled the thickest pork chops I have ever laid my eyes upon. The garlic pate that adorned the chops was the coup d’etat that teased the palate and taste buds over the top. Not to be outdone, Shawn’s vegetable medley and layered potato, aseaga cheese, portobello mushroom combination was savored the entire evening. But even more stimulating was the entertainment provided. I’ve heard about it but didn’t know what it entailed. That evening six of us were introduced to Wii. This has to be one of the neatest inventions in the virtual reality area of media entertainment. We bowled, we played golf, tennis and got involved in aerobics over the course of a couple of hours. I found myself even breaking into a sweat. So if you’re bored in your abode, whether it be a 400 square foot RV or your stickhouse, you may just want to give Wii a try. We laughed hard into the evening, savored our competitiveness that lurked within, and created the motion that leads to emotion. We’re even discussing teams and leagues to compete in with the coming of the fall and winter season.
I’ve heard it’s the only way to go to exercise, and have fun at the same time……probably be the only way I would play golf or tennis………in the privacy of my own embarrassment……….chuckle, chuckle………..
I ‘m up for Wii Bowling! I do really well against my 6yrold grandsons so what does that tell you?
