We’ve moved south via I-95 yesterday to a place called RVacation Campground (www.RVacation.us) about a mile outside of a town called Selma, NC. The name takes me back to high school and thoughts of civil rights, the turmoil of the 60’s, Martin Luther King, Vietnam and the Kennedys. However, this sleepy little town is a long haul and much different than her sister town in Alabama. We plan on staying put for awhile in this 100+ heat wave. To top that off our air conditioning units only work when we run the generator. Our call for help was answered by Brian McLean from Fayetteville, NC (www.ecmrvrepair@hotmail.com). Needing a new service panel, we await its overnight arrival, again, bearing this heat as best we can.
Fixed the satellite dish today, installed some new closet shelving where the washer/dryer unit use to house itself and did all the windows on the rig on the outside. By this time all clothing were drenched in sweat and time for some websurfing. A short ride on the Goldwing found that this town is a bevy for some whimsical photographs which I plan to post on here as soon as I can get them downloaded.
